We would like to invite you to the Students' Union Superannuation Scheme (SUSS) 2023 Annual Meeting of Members which is being held on Wednesday 8 March 2023.
Please register your attendance no later than 30 January 2023.
The meeting is being held online. Once you've registered your interesst, you'll be sent an invitation nearer to the time which will contain:
The meeting papers will be uploaded to the SUSS Employer Website ahead of the meeting. The website also has lots of useful information regarding the Scheme; its history and helpful documentation, including prior years Annual Meeting presentations and Minutes; Scheme Annual Report and Accounts etc.
We have had feedback that Trustees often feel distant from some of the challenges facing the pension scheme, so this year, we're also extending the invite to the Annual Meeting of Members to interested Trustees. Whilst this is particularly targeted at external Trustees, we would of course be happy to see Union Trustees at the meeting too. As a reminder, the SUSS Trustees are happy to attend any union meetings to provide an update on the SUSS.
NUS Charity will again organise a space for members to discuss questions they may wish to put to the SUSS Trustees prior to the annual meeting. All SUSS members will receive an invitation to this online meeting which will take place at 11am on 20 February. If you haven't received your invitation by 15 February, please contact the membership team. The meeting will be attended by at least one SUSS Trustee. The purpose is to allow the Trustees to prepare responses to any questions to be presented at the meeting on 8 March. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the administration of the scheme and its history. We will allow 90 minutes for the meeting but it probably wont take that long.
