Freedom of Speech within universities has been hitting headlines again recently and we know SUs have requested support on this topic. 

Further to the NUS/Wonkhe Roundtable that took place last week and other conversations with students' unions we recognise this is an SU and institution issue that should be tackled collectively. We will therefore be meeting with university mission groups over the coming weeks, and have created a new resource, Talking to your institution about freedom of speech which can support those conversations with the senior leadership of your institution. 

We've also compiled our existing resources on the topic on our Freedom of Speech campaign page, which includes templates, a press briefing, sample policies and a thorough explanation of the legal obligations around freedom of speech and freedom from harm.
