SU Strategy Exchange: Careers after Babies

Greenwich SU is the first student union in the UK to go for Careers After Babies accreditation. Jess Heagren, CEO of Careers After Babies, was invited by Uzma, Deputy CEO of Greenwich SU, to talk about the challenges parents face, what the now landmark Careers After Babies report told us about the plight of working mothers and, most importantly, what organisations can do to better support working parents.
At this engaging session, Uzma shared the initiatives underway at Greenwich including their Fertility policy reviews and their focus on returning mothers successfully.
Greenwich will shortly launch their Careers After Babies survey to employees along with data related to people, process and practice to be measured against the Careers After Babies framework, then they'll work together to develop a roadmap to accreditation.
