Are you in charge of or supporting your SU's elections this year?

Would you like opportunities to share practice, as well as pick up some tips and recommendations from our Returning Officer? 

The Elections Development Webinars are back!

Due to feedback last year that they were a little late, we now have webinars running across December and January. 

You can sign up for the December '22/January '23 webinars here!

They are as follows:

• First-time DRO: Monday 5th December 12:00
• FE & Small and Specalist Elections: Thursday 8th december 14:00
• Returning DRO Tips and Tricks: Tuesday 10th Janyary 11:00
• First-time DRO: Thursday 12th January 12:00 (repeat)
• Complaints and Candidate Conduct: Friday 13th January 10:00

 

As a reminder: you can sign up your SU to the NUS Charity Elections Service. 

• Have a Returning Officer that returns over 100+ elections every year, with over a decade of experience 
• SUs that are members of NUS Charity can name Peter Robertson, NUS Charity Director, as their Returning Officer for that year's elections
• The NUS Elections Service works across the UK, supporting on any day-to-day questions surrounding the running of your elections and interpretation of your election rules, as well as year-round support in developing guidance, sharing good practice and upskilling DROs in preparation for elections period(s). We aim for a one-working day response time and will always triage urgent emails. 
• RO Election Reports can be created for every supported election, providing an easy and clear report for use at boards, councils, or for your institution to be reassured that an external organisation has verified their duties have been carried out under the '94 Education Act.
