In 2016, students across Wales turned out and voted to elect the 60 members of the National Assembly for Wales.
40 of these Assembly Members (AMs) were elected to represent individual constituencies, while the remaining 20 will represent Wales’ five regions – North Wales, Mid and West Wales, South Wales West, South Wales Central, and South Wales East.
NUS Wales campaigned extensively to ensure that as many students as possible registered to vote, and to make sure that their voices were heard in the election.
