Jodie Waite is Vice President (Education) for NUS Scotland and will be the first woman in history to hold this position. As a student activist, she has campaigned for the rights of students and apprentices, and plans to build on this work in her new role. Her other priorities include widening access, the Teaching Excellence Framework and ensuring that students’ have a say in the process of leaving the EU.
Prior to her role at NUS Scotland Jodie was Vice President of the Glasgow School for Business and Society at Glasgow Caledonian University and a trustee of the GCU Student’s Association, having graduated in Business with Marketing. Her focus has been on working with students to ensure they receive a high quality educational experience and on equality and diversity.
She has previously served as Vice President for the School of Health and Life Sciences and was a Governor of Glasgow Caledonian University Court from 2015-16.
