What is MBTI?

MBTI is a well-respected and powerful personality tool that provides the foundations for a deep understanding of personal style and group interaction. It can be applied to many personal and business issues, and revisited over time as new challenges arise.  It looks at personality type based on four fundamental dimensions of individual difference:

  • Extraversion (E) – Introversion (I) - Where you prefer to get or focus your energy
  • Sensing (S) – iNtuition (N) - The kind of information you prefer to gather and trust
  • Thinking (T) – Feeling (F) - The process you prefer to use in making decisions
  • Judging (J) – Perceiving (P) - How you prefer to deal with the world around you

Strengths Deployment Inventory - team workshop

Team Development using the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI)

Imagine how much more effective your working relationships would be if you really understood how other people see things…and could put this awareness into practice. It would be like having an instruction manual for relating with your colleagues!

The Strength Deployment Inventory is a practical and useful self-awareness inventory that increases relationship effectiveness. It is a life inventory based on relationship awareness theory, a validated self-assessment tool that delivers proven business and personal outcomes by decreasing the underlying conflicts that diminish relationships.

Using the SDI you can explore any of the following:

  • What makes each member of the team tick
  • What triggers conflict for each member of the team
  • How members of the team change when in conflict
  • How to manage conflict to best effect
  • What strengths exist within the team
  • What things people tend to overdo within the team and the impact of these
  • What strengths/behaviours the team needs to adopt to meet their goals and objectives
  • How people can move from where they currently are to the desired behaviours

The power of SDI is in how quickly and easily it gets people connecting and really talking to each other.   SDI facilitates strong relationships through:

  • The insights people gain
  • The acceptance it encourages
  • The conversations it informs
  • The trust it increases
  • The conflict it decreases

Workshops

There are a number of options for developing your team using the SDI.  You can simply have a one-day introductory workshop that will give you a basic understanding of the SDI and how to use it to increase team effectiveness.  If you then want a more in-depth understanding of the SDI and more time to explore how it can help team effectiveness, you can opt for further half-day modules.

If you want to go straight for a more in-depth understanding of the SDI and more time to explore how it can help team effectiveness, you can opt for a one-day or two-day workshop.

Costs

A half-day workshop will cost £300, a one-day workshop will cost £600 and a two-day workshop will cost £1200.  There will be an additional cost of £29 for an individual SDI report for each member of the team.
