Santander

As a result of data from the Santander Employee Opinion Survey, Santander began to focus on making the workplace more flexible, especially for parents and individuals with other caring responsibilities.

The HR team proposed two key areas to focus on:

1.    ‘Passport to Balancing your Life’ - open to all employees but specifically addressing the needs of women.

2.    ‘Passport to Parenting’ - providing a comprehensive parenting proposition - allowing employees to create a bespoke reward package that matches their personal requirements.

University of Wolverhampton Students’ Union

The Union’s lobbying prompted their University to provide changing rooms in toilets across the campuses to help students with children. A family room has also been opened by the SU and chaplaincy where parents, for a few hours on Thursday, can leave their children under close supervision while they run errands within the University.
