Talent Development Advisory Group

The purpose of this committee is to advise the Board of NUS Charitable Services on the strategic support needs and people development needs of the student movement.

The Talent Development Advisory Group is a team of experts with strategic knowledge and good practice who support and develop unions and the people of the movement. The group develops and facilitates events like SU2017.

  • Oversee and scrutinise the work of the HR Support unit, including making recommendations to the Board of NUS Charitable Services on commissioning and contracting external consultants.
  • Oversee and scrutinise projects related to people development for career staff in students’ unions.
  • Lead the work of staff communities of practice (specialist groups), setting up new ones where the need arises.
  • Support the planning of the annual Students’ Unions summer conference.

This Board is made up of:

  • 3 Student Union Staff
  • 2 Active Student Volunteers
  • 3 SU Student Officers
  • 1 NUS Charity Trustee
  • 4 Lay Trustees

What happens at meetings?
