Black Students' Conference

National Union of Students welcomes your participation at our annual Black Students' Conference, taking place on 16 - 17 March. Location details to follow shortly.

NUS Black Students' Conference is the sovereign policy-making body of the Black Students' Campaign which is a politically autonomous part of NUS UK.

This Conference brings together delegates from students' unions affiliated to NUS UK to discuss, debate and vote on motions and elect the political leadership for the year ahead.

Black Students Conference Rules

Delegate Entitlement

Each Students’ Union is entitled to send 1 delegate with voting and speaking rights and up to 4 observers who will have speaking rights but  no voting rights.

Observers will have an additional change at Registration. Delegates to the NUS Black Students’ Conference may be elected or nominated in a manner approved by the Constituent Member. All delegates and observers MUST self-define as Black. The term ‘Black’ is used to refer to African, Arab, Asian and Caribbean students and those who self-define as Black.
