The Department for Education has launched a review into Post-18 Education and Funding in England.
An advisory panel chaired by Philip Augar is currently undertaking a consultation process, with the aim of reporting to the DfE in the autumn. The Department will then announce the outcome of the review in early 2019. The review is a major win for our Poverty Commission campaign, and a real opportunity to shape student funding policy in England for years to come.
The first stage of the work of the advisory panel was a call for evidence, the deadline for which is 2 May 2018. NUS responded to the call for evidence and you can read our response here.
We expect further opportunities for students and students’ unions to engage with the review process and will update when more details are available.
