Winners announced for the NUS/UKICSA Internationalisation Awards 2015

We’re pleased to announce the winners of this year’s NUS/UKICSA Internationalisation Awards, which recognised the positive impact that dedicated officers and staff from the sector have made on the lives of international students over the past year.

This year’s NUS/UKCISA Internationalisation Awards were the fourth in its history and took place at the UKCISA Annual Conference at the University of Sussex on Friday 3 July 2015,

The ceremony was hosted by Mostafa Rajaai, NUS International Students Officer and Dominic Scott, UKCISA Chief Executive.

The awards aimed to both recognise and celebrate the hard work that unions, institutions, officers and students put in to supporting international students and improving their experience.

International Student Officer of the Year 2015

Excellence in International Student Support FE 2015

  • University of Bradford Students’ Union

Student Advisor of the Year 2015

  • Sue Baker, University of Bradford

Best Careers Support 2015

  • Manchester University – Careers Service

Innovation in Internationalising the Student Experience 2015

  • Lancaster Students’ Union

Internationalised Students Union of the Year 2015

  • University of Bath Students’ Union

Following the ceremony, Mostafa Rajaai praised the work of both award winners and nominees: ‘NUS and UKCISA would like to take this opportunity to congratulate not just those who have won tonight, but also all of those shortlisted and involved with making lives better for international students. We look forward to seeing and hearing what you have all been doing a year from now’.
