What’s on the Agenda at Zones Conference?

Registration for Zones Conference closes on Friday 9 October. Zones, which will be held from Tuesday 27 to Friday 30 October in Bradford, are your opportunity to explore some of the key issues that students are facing on campuses and in their lives.

Full agendas are now online for Further Education Zone and Higher Education Zone Conference; Union Development Zone & Student Opportunities Conference and Society & Citizenship Zone and Welfare Zone Conference.

Each Zone Agenda contains a presentation and discussion around the Key policy theme of that Zone to influence and develop that area of policy. There will be a series of workshops and sessions relevant to both Staff and Officers

Further Education Zone will focus on Area Reviews and Higher Education Zone will lead the debate on the marketisation of HE. You can find the Full Agenda Here.

Union Development Zone will look at Student Opportunities - an absolutely key area of activity for students’ unions. You can find the Full Agenda Here.

Society and Citizenship Zone focusses on Fossil fuel divestment and the Welfare Zone will discuss and determine what a welfare state that serves students would look like. You can find the Full Agenda Here.

As well as these sessions, each conference will include:

  • Networking for both staff and officers
  • An accountability session with the Vice President of the Zone and the National President
  • Election of the Zone Committee (eight positions) and the Zone NEC Place (one Place)
