Weekly Roundup (23 January 2015)

Friday 23-01-2015 - 17:12

Each week we bring you a summary of the best tweets and photos from the world of students' unions as well as stories about NUS in the press.

What happened on NUS Connect this week?
In a week which saw us launch Race Matters, our first ever report on the experiences of Black staff across the student movement, we also got up to much more on Connect.

We we were joined in the Hot Seat by Sophie Baumert from the Glasgow University Climate Action Society, Grant Clarke gave us a glimpse into a typical working day as President of the University of Portsmouth Students’ Union and Jason Snowdon and Alex Wyatt shared their two views on brand power in students' union shops.

Elsewhere on Connect, our campaigns team looked forward to next Thursday's Day of Action on Youth Issues and demonstrated a simple action each students' union could take on the day itself.
