What happened on NUS Connect this week?

This week on NUS Connect we launched our roadmap for free education, sat down with Evan Davis and discussed his new role as presenter of BBC's Newsnight, we marked Transgender Remembrance Day and were joined in the Hot Seat by 
Ceri Davies, Chief Executive at Nottingham Trent Students' Union, who told us about how his union's commercial activity is bucking national trends despite many challenges. Yesterday's Takeover Thursday focussed on the issue of unpaid internships and our policy ask for the next government ro introduce and enforce legislation that ensures all work experience of over weeks should be paid at least national minimum wage.

Takeover Thursday Poll Results
Thanks to everyone who took part in yesterday's Facebook poll which asked 'Do you think internships should be paid?', The results of the poll were that 89.3 per cent of you felt that internships should be paid, compared with 10.7 per cent who disagreed.
