NUS Vice President (Union Development) Richard Brooks responds to the University of Nottingham Students' Union's affiliation referendum, which saw students vote to remain a member of NUS.
Richard Brooks, NUS Vice President (Union Development), said: “I’m so pleased students at the University of Nottingham have voted for their student’s union to remain part of NUS. We are stronger together and it’s crucial our collective voice is heard over the coming months as we face an overhaul of higher education. I’m thrilled students across the UK have overwhelmingly voted for their students’ unions to remain part of their national union, with 10 out of 14 referenda resulting in continued affiliation with NUS. I look forward to fulfilling NUS’ promises to reform our processes and address concerns raised by the students who voted for their unions to leave NUS.”
