Today: it’s time to Leap into Action!

Monday 29-02-2016 - 03:01

Today students’ unions across the UK will Leap into Action to #CutTheCosts for their students.

Some SUs will be celebrating past campaigns activity, with past Fairer Fares bus hosters coming together to promote their efforts.

Others will be sharing stories of student experiences with transport and hidden costs, or even launching new campaigns on campus!

In the build up to today our giant buses and Dave the #CutTheCosts pig have been out and about:

  • Edge Hill SU students plotted the cost of their journeys to campus on a giant map before taking photos with the North West bus. A photo album of their day can be found here.
  • Sussex Downs SU hosted the #CutTheCosts inflatable pig as part of their Speak Up week, and documented their activity on twitter.
  • Wiltshire College SU took the Fairer Fares bus to their local train and bus stations, with their Welfare Officer filming this video

You can find all the resources currently available for the #CutTheCosts campaign on NUS Connect. Follow the action throughout today day using #CutTheCosts.
