The Summit offers workshops, talks and panel discussions with some of the UK’s top environmental activists and campaigners, from organisations including:

The one-day event will be an opportunity to connect with other officers and activists, and gain practical skills in community organising, inclusivity in campaigning, and so much more.

With Brexit on the horizon, the Government will soon bring forward a new Environment Bill, the first in over twenty years. Hear world renowned environmentalist Tony Juniper discuss the crucial role the student movement can play in shaping the bill, putting pressure on the government to take decisive action to defend our natural environment for future generations.

Hear from leading activists Asad Rehman and Joshua Virasami on why climate change is a race issue, and how to put those affected most by climate change at the centre of our sustainability campaigns and activities.

The Summit is open to all students, officers and staff from both the SU and college/university. Some SUs are sending their Environmental Committees. Community Organisations involved with NUS’s sustainability work are also welcome.
