Sorana Vieru re-elected as Vice President (Higher Education)

Sorana Vieru has been re-elected as NUS Vice President (Higher Education) at National Conference 2016.

Speaking to conference floor during her election speech, Sorana said: “A year ago I ran to put liberation at the heart of our campaigns. This year has been far from ‘business as usual’. This year, we delivered. But dismantling oppression is going to take more than a year. We need to empower students to take academic spaces and transform them.”

Sorana Vieru was re-elected NUS Vice President (Higher Education) at stage one, with the final vote count being:

311 – Sorana Vieru
256 – Priscilla Mensah
10 – RON (Re-open nominations)
