Today we’ve published the Risk Assessment and Initial Equality Impact Assessment for the NSS boycott action which is currently being coordinated by NUS.
In addition to these documents, NUS has published template risk assessment and initial equality impact assessment documents.
These templates are designed to support students’ unions who have yet to decide how they will campaign on the higher education reforms.
Sorana Vieru, NUS Vice President (Higher Education) said: “I would like to thank the organisation for publishing these documents so quickly after my request in late 2016. I will be taking all the recommendations from the risk assessment and the EIA into consideration as the campaign co-ordination rolls out across the UK.
“I am really pleased we can support even more unions to make strong campaigning decisions, like the 22 unions who have already joined the boycott campaign.”
Today, NUS ran a webinar for students’ unions seeking support in filling in the templates provided. In addition, individual consultations for any union which is currently undecided about their campaign actions are available.
