Nominations open for the 2016 NUS & UKCISA Internationalisation Awards

Your chance to get recognised for your work in improving the international student experience.

The NUS & UKCISA Internationalisation Awards aim to recognise the great work institutions and students’ unions put in to supporting and improving the international student experience. These awards fall into six categories:

  • Internationalised Students’ Union of the Year (Students’ Union)
  • International Student Advisor of the Year (Open to All)
  • Best Careers Support for International Students (Open to All)
  • Innovation in Internationalising the Student Experience (Open to All)
  • Excellence in International Student Support (HE)
  • Excellence in International Student Support (FE)

Any further education or higher education NUS affiliated students’ union or institution can apply for the above awards. Unions and institutions can apply for more than one award but the work referred to must have taken place within the last year. Students’ Unions and Institutions can collaborate to submit a nomination together.

To enter, send the requested information below by email to Up to two supporting documents can be supplied but we would ask that you answer the specific points given in the awards criteria in your 500 word nomination form to ensure your entry is considered. The deadline is 5pm on Thursday 9 June 2016.

Specific details on who can be nominated are given on each award criteria. Entries will be judged by a panel to include officers, staff, and external representatives.

The NUS Internationalisation Awards are kindly supported by UKCISA, the UK’s national advisory body serving the interests of international students and those who work with them.

Shortlisted candidates will be announced on Monday 20 June and awards will be delivered at the 2016 UKCISA Conference on Friday 1 July 2016.
