National Student Survey Consultation opens

Monday 12-10-2015 - 10:21

The four UK HE funding councils have published a consultation into proposed changes to the National Student Survey and the Unistats website.

The consultation is open until 4 December and students’ unions are invited to respond: you can do so here.

NUS has prepared a briefing outlining the key proposed changes that you can download here. You can also read our initial response to the proposals here.

The main proposals that are of interest to students’ unions are the introduction of nine new questions on student engagement, and the removal of Question 23 from the core questionnaire, to be replaced by an optional bank of questions on the students’ union. We will be consulting you over the coming weeks as to what these questions might look like, starting with a webinar on 13th October.

Tailored briefings about how the proposed changes relate to Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will follow shortly.

If you require any extra information about the consultation or future events please contact and please direct any political questions to Sorana Vieru (Vice President Higher Education) or Richard Brooks (Vice President Union Development)
