Motions Submitted to Disabled Students Conference 2017

Motions have now been published for Disabled Students Conference, to be held on 11 April 2017

NUS Disabled Students conference will bring together a wide range of student activists to debate, vote on motions and elect the political leadership for the year ahead.

Motions have been submitted to the conference covering the following areas of work –

Motion 101: Stop the Privatisation of Statutory Psychiatry Services

Motion 102: Put down the magnifying glass and look at the bigger, more inclusive picture

Motion 103: Nationwide student survey into mental health

Motion 104: Mandatory Provision of Dyslexia Screenings

Motion 105: Students Deserve Better Doctor’s Notes

Motion 106: Sexual and Domestic Violence

Motion 201: Disabled Students and Accessibility at NUS Demonstrations

Motion 202: Clear Accessibility information avaliable for Student Union events

Motion 301: Make NUS Events Accessible to Disabled Students

Motion 302: Give Nations the Vote We All Thought They Had.

Motion 401: Support for disabled students entering the workplace.

Motion 402: Disability and Sex and Relationship Education.

Motion 501: Make Course Assessments Accessible for Everyone.


Constituent members are entitled to submit an amendment to any motion, using the amendments form.


The deadline for amendments is Midday on 14th March.
