All liberation together

The motions for NUS Wales Liberation Conferences 2016 have been submitted to the conferences of our liberation campaigns.

Motions are the stuff policy is made of. Without them, the liberation campaigns will not have it on the books what their stances on issues are, or what they intend to do.

The NUS Wales Black Students Campaign, LGBT+ Campaign, Students with Disabilities Campaign, Welsh Language Campaign and Women’s Campaign will meet for their conferences which will be held at Cardiff and Vale College, Cardiff between 25-29 April 2016.

Each liberation campaign is responsible for its own affairs and during these liberation conferences, delegates will decide on their campaigns’ positions on a variety of issues and on the things that their campaigns will aim to do. This will be done through discussing and deciding on motions.

All motions for each of the liberation conferences can be read here:

Please note that no motions were submitted to the NUS Wales Students with Disabilities Conference or Welsh Language Conference.

Today marks the start of the amendment period for motions to the NUS Wales Liberation Conferences.

Those wishing to amend motions submitted are required to read and use this pro-forma and to submit their amendments by Friday 8 April. All amendments should be sent to

Registration for NUS Wales’ Liberation Conferences will close on Monday 18 April at 5pm. Delegates must register their attendance so if you haven’t registered yet, you can do so by clicking here.
