We have joined with sector organisations to call for a reversal of the 24 per cent cut to the adult education budget in England announced back in February.
Today a mass lobby of Parliament is taking place with college students and staff meeting with their MP’s to demand these cuts are reversed and that further education is properly invested in.
The cut of almost a quarter of the budget for non-apprentice adult education will put pressure on colleges ability to deliver top quality vocational education to adults in England, including some of our most vulnerable learners.
Joe Vinson puts forward the case as to why adult education needs protecting in his blog.
