Fancy running a workshop at Students’ Unions 2017?

Tuesday 21-02-2017 - 16:04

We’re on the lookout for experts to share their expertise and best practice at our flagship conference for staff and officers in the student movement. Have your SU been working on something innovative recently? Are you brimming with ideas to share? Submit your workshop proposals today!

We are launching the call for workshop proposals for Students’ Unions 2017, which will take place at the Birmingham NEC from Tuesday 4 – Wednesday 5 July.

Students' Unions is our flagship event for fostering and sharing expertise across the student movement and the theme for this year's conference is ‘Resilient Students' Unions Working Together’.

Each year, we invite staff and officers from across the UK to join us for two days of workshops on current and future issues affecting the sector and networking with peers working in a similar field or locality, with the event culminating with our annual NUS Awards ceremony.

What’s involved and how to I sign up?

In order to build on the overall quality of the workshop sessions, we're asking for slightly more information than last year at this stage of the workshop proposal process.

Workshops slots are either 60 or 90 minutes in length.

To submit your workshop proposal, simply complete this online form ahead of the deadline on Tuesday 21 March (12 noon).

If, at any stage, you want to partially complete the survey and come back to it at a later time please make sure you click the 'save' button.

What happens next?

Completed workshop proposals will be assessed by the Students’ Unions 2017 event planning committee (comprised of students’ unions in the Birmingham region) and the NUS Charity Board.

That’s all! We really look forward to receiving your proposal!
