RAG Conference, the National Student Fundraising Conference, is the flagship event for Student Fundraisers in the UK.

This year's RAG Conference will be held at Hertfordshire Students’ Union in Hatfield, Hertfordshire and will feature over 30 different sessions from students’ unions, charities, industry experts and leading academics on events management. We have also two Keynotes already booked from a National Charity CEO and leading Psychology Academic from the University of Hertfordshire (as seen on Big Brother’s Bit on the Side and The One Show).

The event is supported by Headline Charity, Hope for Children and Gold Sponsor Payfriendz. RAG Conference will be announcing this year’s Headline Sponsor in a few weeks time.

The Conference, which will be held between 22 - 25 August 2016, will be a fantastic learning opportunity for students, elected officers and staff; the event focuses on core student fundraising skills, personal and professional development and wider business skills.

Students’ unions can purchase tickets for just £120 + VAT per delegate, which includes three nights in the University of Hertfordshire’s new purpose built accommodation, breakfast, lunch and evening meals throughout the conference (exact meals included are specified on RAG Conference website). Delegates will also have access to the National Student Fundraising Awards, held on Wednesday 24 August 2016 in the multi million pound venue, the Forum Hertfordshire. This event will be hosted by star of Virgin Radio and ITV 2, Matt Richardson and all guests will receive a three-course meal and after party. We in the process of planning the after party and are aiming to have a live act for the Awards’ After Party.

On the Tuesday of the Conference, all delegates will have access to the Charities and Companies Fair where over 50 exhibitors will share their opportunities and stories with attendees. The full charity and company list be will on the RAG Conference website very soon so you can start planning who you want to chat to at the event.

The whole event is a fantastic opportunity for students, officers and staff to network as well as develop core skills that not only enhance their fundraising capabilities but also their employability upon graduation. All delegates will also receive a free report from our Research Partners, FluidBlueberry. This report will look at the drivers for Student Fundraisers and some of their perceptions of student fundraising as well as potential careers in the fundraising.

Any questions and queries should be directed to the Conference Management Team at not to the National Union of Students (NUS) and/or the National Student Fundraising Association.
