I am running to become the first NUS full-time Trans Officer because I am passionate, experienced, and supportive. Being transgender gave me the self-assurance I needed to become Winchester’s Equality and Diversity Officer - a position that lets me face liberation movements on a university and Hampshire-wide scale. I have experienced, first-hand, the successes and failures of the education system towards transgender students. Do you want change for transgender students? With the support of students like yourself - the heart of the NUS - and the union itself, this is something I can achieve on a national scale.
