Amatey Doku has been re-elected as NUS Vice President (Higher Education) at National Conference 2018

Day two of NUS National Conference at the SEC Armadillo, Glasgow, saw Amatey Doku re-elected as NUS Vice President (Higher Education) for 2018/19.

Commenting during their election campaign, Amatey Doku said: “It’s a huge privilege to be the Vice President Higher Education for NUS at such an important time for the Higher Education sector.

“Over the next year, I will be working tirelessly to deliver a robust plan on Brexit that rejects isolationism and ensure that the Higher Education sector get to grips with tackling the 26% Black Attainment Gap.

“From Brexit and funding crises, to chaotic politics and persisting disparities in Higher Education, there is still so much more to do and with your support, I look forward to winning for students.”

Amatey Doku will begin their second term as NUS Vice President (Higher Education) on 1 July 2018.
