#GenerationVote: Get registered

Where will you be on 8 June? Make sure you're registered to vote in the right place to have your say in the General Election.

How to register
You can register online here: gov.uk/register-to-vote. It takes seconds and all you need is your National Insurance (NI) number.

Moving on at the end of term?
If you’re already registered at your term-time address but will be living elsewhere on 8 June, don’t worry: you can be registered at two addresses! Register at the address you’ll be voting at here: gov.uk/register-to-vote

Going on holiday? Get a postal vote
If you’re going on holiday or won’t be in the area on polling day, get a postal vote. If you’re already registered to vote you can download a postal vote application here: aboutmyvote.co.uk/register-to-vote/postal-vote-application. Once you’ve filled in your application you need to send it to your Electoral Registration Office. You can find their address by entering your postcode here: yourvotematters.co.uk

Postal won’t work for you? Get a proxy vote
You can also register for a proxy vote which entrusts someone else to vote on your behalf. You can find proxy voting forms here: aboutmyvote.co.uk/register-to-vote/apply-to-vote-by-proxy.
