Pole Fitness Societies Briefing

Pole Fitness Societies Briefing

Following feedback from students we have decided to temporarily remove the briefing entitled ‘Pole Fitness Societies’ so that we can ensure it accurately represents the policy of NUS Women’s Campaign and the interests of those we represent.

Where possible we will be contacting all those who have expressed concerns about the briefing and inviting constructive feedback from anyone who wishes to get in touch. The original briefing will be made available upon request to those who wish to respond directly to it.

Please direct all comments to women@nus.org.uk.

12:50pm on 2 Feb 13 I am sorry, but I think you are mission informed and biased. I am part of a pole fitness society and know of other across the UK and there is nothing flirty about them. It is a fun to serious sport which encourages exercise for both males and females equally. If you think pole fitness is sexually obectifiying women, then you obviously have never been to lesson, it could be father from the truth. Its casual attire and not in any way sexual, its pure fitness. I think this is a attack on a diverse friendly and fun sport that is trying its hardest to diffrnicate itself from the seedy sidelines that people generalise it with. Do you research and find the fact before you publish a brief.
