Five students’ unions in Wales already participate in Green Impact, an environmental accreditation scheme: Aberystwyth, Bangor, Cardiff, Trinity Saint David, and Swansea. One university in Wales – Swansea – participates in the programme.
Green Impact welcomes new participants in the scheme. Registration for students’ unions closes on Friday 12 October. Students’ unions can contact Joanna Romanowicz for more information.
Universities and other organisations can sign up at any time. To learn more, visit the Green Impact website or contact Jo Kemp.
Student Switch Off is another programme that engages students in an inter-hall energy competition to save energy. The friendly rivalries result in energy savings and build good habits. Cardiff University is the only institution participating this year in Wales.
Participation in Student Switch Off is closed for this year. To learn more about joining the programme next year, visit the Student Switch Off website.
