The Scheme of Work is a practical map of what NUS Wales will do in 2012-13. The varied pieces of work are based on policies passed by member students' unions at Wales spring conference and the manifestos of elected NUS Wales officers.
Read the Scheme of Work (pdf), which was presented to member students' unions at Y Talwrn on 15 August.
NUS Wales introduced the Scheme of Work as part of its Regeneration programme to increase input, involvement and transparency between itself and its member students' unions.
The Scheme of Work was written by NUS Wales full-time officers and staff in July and August. At the new Y Talwrn event, student officers were able to input their thoughts on how the many pieces of work can be implemented with greatest effect.
NUS Wales will continue to consult with members throughout the autumn, specifically holding workshops for further education colleges. Dates for those events have not yet been determined.
The Scheme of Work will be discussed and debated further at the new NUS Wales Zone Conference, which replaces the traditional autumn council. Glyndwr University will host the conference on Wednesday 14 November 2012.
To offer input on any of the pieces of work that make up the Scheme, please contact NUS Wales Director Hannah Pudner.
