In May 2011, researchers from Cardiff University, in partnership with NUS Wales, conducted a survey of alcohol related behaviours and perceptions of alcohol related social norms amongst first year students in several Welsh universities.
Students who participated were asked to provide an email address if they wished to be entered into a £100 prize draw, with one winner selected at random in each university.

Nicole Turley was selected as the winner in Glamorgan University.

Natalie Thomas was selected as the winner in University of Wales, Newport.

Anna Pilbeam was selected as the winner in University of Wales, Trinity St Davids.

Anne-Marie Hayes was selected as the winner in Aberystwyth University.
The survey will be repeated from February to April 2012, and first year undergraduate students will again be offered entry into a £100 prize draw if they complete the survey.
