On Nov 17th, NUS Wales will have our Council event at Swansea University, as part of our NUS Wales ActiveFest month of events.
The day will consist of sessions and group discussions with a concerted emphasis on Activism and we’re excited to announce that during the day, there will be a debate – “Activism and the Real World” which will have a panel featuring prominent figureheads from the Welsh Education sector- chaired by Joanna Simpson- Education Correspondent, ITV Wales.
During this lively debate and in the midst of the most turbulent time in Welsh Education, the panel will be discussing activism and how to develop and create effective action.
NUS Wales Council is an opportunity for student leaders to develop, share and promote best practice in student union campaigning and discuss the issues affecting Further and Higher Education in Wales, with their peers; We will be featuring a showcase of successful campaigns in Welsh Student Unions to highlight the good work being done and inspire further campaign development within the movement.
Please note: The deadline for motions to be recieved is TOMORROW 2PM (Thursday 27th October 2011) via office@nus-wales.org.uk
