Last week, NUS Wales welcomed our new director, Hannah Pudner into the organisation.
This is not Hannah’s first time as an NUS staff member; between 2005 and 2009 she was NUS’ Student Feedback Co-ordinator housed in the Education and Quality team, providing advice and support to unions on ways to use the National Student Survey (NSS) results to strengthen their union and enhance the student experience. In 2009 she left to join the Higher Education Funding Council for England as a Senior Policy Advisor, leading on quality assurance, quality enhancement, public information for prospective students, the NSS, student engagement, online learning and Aimhigher.
Hannah, originally from Swansea, is now returning to Wales to take up this position and is focused on enhancing NUS Wales’ capacity and capability as a membership and campaigning organisation.
“I am delighted to return to NUS and to Wales- it is an exciting time for the Welsh student movement. There is much we need to do to defend and extend the rights of students studying in Wales, and I am focused on ensuring NUS Wales is the best membership, and the best campaigning organisation we can be”.
