Abdul-Azim Ahmed

Etholodd myfyrwyr croenddu Cymru arweinydd newydd ar gyfer eu hymgyrch, ac aethant ati i osod polisi.

Etholwyd Abdul-Azim Ahmed, myfyriwr PhD ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, yn Swyddog Myfyrwyr Croenddu UCM Cymru ar gyfer 2012-13.  Bu naw o gynrychiolwyr o brifysgolion Abertawe, Met Abertawe, Morgannwg a Bangor, ynghyd â Coleg Caerdydd a’r Fro, yn pleidleisio yn yr etholiadau.

Gallwch wrando ar Abdul-Azim yn siarad yngyn â’i amcanion ar gyfer ei flwyddyn yn y swydd:

Pasiodd y cynrychiolwyr bob un o’r pum cynnig a ddaeth ger bron, a fydd yn:

  • Gweithio i hyrwyddo Mis Hanes Croenddu mewn sefydliadau addysg bellach ac uwch a’u hundebau.
  • Ymuno â’r mudiad gwrth-ffasgiaeth yng Nghymru.
  • Cadarnhau cefnogaeth i addysg ddi-dâl.
  • Cyflwyno hyfforddiant a chefnogaeth ar gyfer myfyrwyr Croenddu i’w helpu i ymgeisio mewn etholiadau yn undebau myfyrwyr Cymru.
  • Gwneud gwrth-hiliaeth yn flaenoriaeth, gan gynnwys ymgyrch Caru Cerddoriaeth, Casáu Hiliaeth.

Cyflwynodd y Swyddog Myfyrwyr Croenddu presennol, Zahid Raja, adroddiad ar ei waith gydol y flwyddyn, oedd yn cynnwys:

  • Lawnsio Caru Cerddoriaeth, Casáu Hiliaeth Cymru, ethol grwp llywio yn cynnwys myfyrwyr a swyddogion sabathol yng Nghymru.
  • Comisiynu creu set-arfau Un Gymdeithas, Sawl Diwylliant.
  • Trefnu gwrthdystiad yn erbyn mudiad ‘Prydain yn Gyntaf’, sef carfan adain dde sydd wedi ymwahanu rhag y BNP.

Bu’r cynrychiolwyr hefyd yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithdy lle ‘roedd gofyn iddynt fynd drwy’r broses o ymgyrchu ar gyfer cael eu hethol i swyddi yn eu hundebau myfyrwyr eu hunain.  Ynghyd â’r ymarferiad hwn, cafwyd syniadau Raja ei hun ar sut y gall myfyrwyr greu fideos ymgyrchu blaengar sy’n mynd i gyrraedd cynulleidfa eang
