Mae llawer o ddysgwyr mewn sefyllfa lletchwith oherwydd nad oes ganddynt y gyhaliaeth na’r cyllido sy’n hanfodol bwysig i’w hastudiaethau. Mae UCM Cymru wedi dechrau ymchwilio i’r maes allweddol hwn gydag arolwg o fyfyrwyr mewn addysg bellach.

Dywedodd y Dirprwy Lywydd, Raechel Mattey:

"Mae myfyrwyr addysg bellach yn cael bargen wael o ran cynhaliaeth a chyllido, yn arbennig o gymharu â’u cyd-fyfyrwyr mewn addysg uwch. Tra bod myfyrwyr yng Nghymru’n cael bargen well gyda Lwfans Cynhaliaeth Addysg yn dal i fod ar gael, nid felly mo‘r achos i bawb. Mae angen i UCMC osod yr agenda; y cam cyntaf yw ymchwil.

"Rydym eisiau clywed yn uniongyrchol gan fyfyrwyr AB ynglyn â’r hyn mae nhw’n ei wybod a beth maent ei angen yn nhermu cynhaliaeth a chyllido. Gyda chymorth myfrywyr, gallwn ddechrau cyflwyno achos dros newid y model methedig hwn."

Mae Raechel yn mynd â’r arolwg – ar ffurf electronig ac ar bapur – o amgylch ffeiriau’r glas yng Nghymru yn ystod y pythefnos nesaf.

Ydych chi’n fyfyrwyr sy’n astudio ar gwrs addysg bellach yng Nghymru? Cwblhewch yr arolwg.
