Today marks the beginning of Scottish Mental Health Awareness Week and at Think Positive, it also marks the launch of our month long campaign to address the issue of suicide prevention.
Unfortunately, two people in Scotland die by suicide every day, and young people are at particular risk. In every case, suicide is a tragedy and this month the Think Positive project will be working with students’ associations to help stimulate discussion and learning about this issue which we too often avoid talking about.
There are lots of ways to get involved: whether you join our discussions online, arrange events or training on your campus or distribute information to your students we are looking for as many institutions as possible to help spread this important message.
For more information take a look at our campaign briefing and download our information leaflet which can be downloaded and printed out for your campus.
