NUS Scotland LGBT Awards

The NUS Scotland LGBT Awards are here to recognise LGBT Societies and LGBT Activists on our campuses for the great work that they do, almost always voluntarily. It is this commitment that we recognise in these awards - and this year the Awards are bigger and better than ever before! Two New Awards and One Big Ceremony! So start nominating people that you wish to be recognised!

The NUS Scotland LGBT Committee would like to thank our sponsors, who without their support, these awards would not exist.

  • University Society of the Year - Recognising a LGBT society at a University that has done some exceptional work in being inclusive, active and visible on campus.

  • The LGBT Youth Scotland Award for College Society of the Year - Recognising a LGBT society at a College that has done some exceptional work in being inclusive, active and visible on campus.

  • The PCS Award for Campaign of the Year - Recognising an exceptional campaign that has promoted, defended or extended the rights of LGBT Students.

  • The UCU Scotland Award for Event of the Year - Recognising an exceptional event that has been inclusive and visible on campaign.

  • The EIS Award for Activist of the Year - Recognising an exceptional LGBT Activist on our campuses that has worked tirelessly on campaigns.

  • Outstanding LGBT Student of the Year - Recognising an exceptional LGBT student who has gone above and beyond the call of duty to deliver for LGBT students.

  • The NUS Scotland LGBT Award for Outstanding Friend of the Year - Recognising a friend of the NUS Scotland LGBT Campaign who has gone out of their way to support us in promoting, defending and extending the rights of LGBT Students in Scotland.

The Awards Ceremony will be held on Saurday 24th March, 6pm, at The University of Strathclyde Students' Union.

You can nominate in as many categories as you wish, you may nominate yourself or your own LGBT Society and you may submit as many nominations as you like!

It's time to recognise your achievements, your passion and the work you do for students - so nominate, nominate, nominate!
