Mike Williamson from sparqs came along to The Gathering to provide an update on the work sparqs are doing with NUS Scotland, colleges, universities + students' associations to develop Student Partnership Agreements.
If you missed it, you can find out more about the project from Mike's presentation here. An NUS Scotland briefing on Student Partnership Agreements is also available here. As part of the workshop, delegates looked at a sample Student Partnership Agreement sparqs have developed - which incorporates student feedback from previous Education Network meetings. You can read this agreement here.
Some of the comments on the day:
-
The agreement could have a section which explains what impact it has had in previous years
-
The agreement could define what partnership is and what it means
-
The agreement could have a section which talks about the student body at the institution
-
The agreement could have a section which explains how it interacts with other policies, structures, etc. at the institution
-
There were discussions about whether the agreement should have different sections for different audiences
sparqs are really keen to hear from you about how you think Student Partnership Agreements should work. If you have any comments on the sample Student Partnership Agreement or any of the issues above, please get in touch with Mike Williamson or Graeme Kirkpatrick
