In the third NUS Global Future Bulletin we look at the topic of international student fees. International student fees are variable with no cap and are set by individual institutions. The UK attracts a significant proportion of the world’s international student population. 11.6% of all international mobile higher education students come to the UK. This is the second largest of all OECD countries. In total from international student fees alone it is believed £2.2bn is contributed to the UK economy.
This bulletin contains facts & figures on:
- How international student fees are set
- The financial contribution of international students to the UK economy
- Statistics on the international postgraduate taught experience of fees
- League tables of the highest median of international student fees charged by universities
