As part of the NUS/HEA student engagement project we are hiring a network of student engagement champions to conduct qualitative research within students’ unions and to be a regional contact for issues around student engagement.

There will be ten student engagement champions in total– five [staff] from institutions or colleges, and five student champions from students’ unions or the student population.

Champions will provide support, encouragement and advice to students’ unions in regards to student engagement and conduct regional qualitative research on student engagement and the success of the student engagement toolkit.

• Student engagement champions will support the student engagement project by providing regular contact with unions in their local NUS region and assist them with the development of student engagement strategies.
• Student engagement champions will conduct qualitative research in the form of interviews and focus groups particularly in regard to the use of the student engagement toolkit.
