This week's top ten responses have three new entrants from Manchester Metropolitan Students' Union, Sheffield and UCLAN, who all saw significant jumps of between 50 and 120 responses. Remember that securing a large response locally will help you influence your Access Agreements, Discretionary Learner Funds, abolish hidden costs, and give you the opportunity to focus on particular groups of students locally.

MMSU saw the biggest leap in responses this week after following the basic guidance last week - and tweaking it! A web article and some tweets on social media saw over 100 students fill out the survey, but instead of linking the headline article to the larger news article we sent out last week, they linked straight to the survey, which basically netted them about 120 responses. You could expect a lot more if you used an-all student email too, which, if you only use one link in that email, should get you between 2-5% response of your membership straight off.
We want to set you a challenge. We are asking all unions to set a target of 10% responses. If you think about the uniqueness of your membership and how this issue directly affects them, we think that you will very quickly be able to get responses. Help us win for mature students, for part-time, for teachers, nurses, for student parents, for postgrads and so many other groups and we can help you win for them too.
To help you reach the target, we've produced a campaign and promotion guide specifically for the survey. This will be coming out this week, so watch your inbox. You'll find hints and tips in there that will help you manage other campaigns too!
