Download NUS Scotland's Independence Referendum and Votes at 16 toolkit

NUS Scotland launched its Independence Referendum and Votes at 16 toolkit at the Gathering on August 17.

The first section of the toolkit outlines the issues relating to the constitutional debate and Votes at 16, to help student officers get up to speed on the issues.

The second section will help students' associations put on events that can gather the views of your students and generate discussion on the future of Scotland at your college or university.

The final section will help associations campaign on extending the right to vote for 16 and 17 year olds.

Stirling University Students' Association has already set a date of November 6 to hold an event, and more associations have indicated interest in doing the same.
