The Membership Services Department provides and supports student activities, advice and academic representation opportunities for the Union’s members.
The Representation Coordinator will perform a key role in developing the work of the Union by offering support to the student volunteers involved within the student academic representation system. The post-holder will coordinate and support the Union’s academic representative structures.
The post-holder will also be responsible for working with staff at Imperial College London, specifically the academic and support staff involved in education (at both undergraduate and postgraduate level) and staff involved in the welfare services. It is intended that the post-holder will provide continuity from year to year as student officers change and to help ensure that initiatives become embedded in the culture of Imperial College life.
This is a challenging role - the Students’ Union has extensive ambitions in this area for the next few years and it is anticipated that the pace of future development will be swift. Applicants should have a passion for working with volunteer student officers, allowing them to make the most from their time while involved as a volunteer with the Students’ Union.
The role requires flexibility with regards to work patterns, and will involve regular evening and some weekend work.
