Hull University Union provides representation, welfare, sports and social facilities to the students and staff of the University.  Employing approximately 75 permanent and up to 120 temporary staff and supported by around 1,000 student volunteers, the Union is a diverse and rapidly developing organisation.

 

An opportunity has arisen to fulfill a key role within our Membership Services team, supporting student officers in all aspects of educational research, representation and democratic processes.

 

Working with a team and with line management responsibility, the role involves monitoring institutional, local and national education policy developments and issues, statistical analysis and report writing, production and organisation of campaigns, events and elections, training volunteers and providing administrative support.   

 

With up to date knowledge of the issues facing the higher education sector, applicants should be skilled in collating and analysing data and complex information, report writing and presentations.  Excellent inter-personal and organisational skills are vital, together with the ability to prioritise heavy workloads.  Full training and development will be provided.
