Fixed-term contract until 31 March 2013, with continuation depending on further funding.

NUS is seeking to recruit a Learner Engagement Officer to join our Further Education team. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with FE colleges, learning providers and students’ unions to explore ways to improve student engagement with the Skills Funding Agency’s Learner Satisfaction Survey. The project will focus specifically upon engagement of adult learners and apprentices.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual who has experience of conducting primary and secondary research and report writing, as well as an understanding of current education policy. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of survey methods, and the ability to critically analyse information. In addition, the post-holder will have a demonstrable understanding of adult education.

The appointed individual will have experience of writing and developing training for a range audiences as well as an interest in quality improvement and teaching and learning.
