Coventry University Students’ Union is looking for a highly organised and self motivated individual to provide a central service for its schools volunteering programme within its award winning Volunteering & Employability department.
Your role will include recruiting, training and providing support and information to students wishing to undertake schools volunteering opportunities, as well as working within the volunteering and employability team in the planning and delivery of key volunteering events.
You must have excellent training, communication and IT skills and be able to develop and grow successful partnerships with primary and secondary schools across the city in order to increase the opportunities available to our students. You will need strong negotiation skills to co-ordinate opportunities with volunteer needs and to be able to facilitate the development of student led projects
Having the skills and creativity to present and promote volunteering to large audiences through a range of mediums including social media you should also have a commitment to developing young people.
As you will be required to assist in the completion of CRB checks for volunteers, CRB clearance will need to be obtained as part of your role.
