Democracy and Campaigns Development Coordinator

York University Students’ Union has a highly involved student body which we are seeking to engage fully in our representative and governing processes. We are looking to strengthen our existing staff team by recruiting someone with experience of developing democratic engagement and a clear vision for developing involvement in campaigning activities at York.

We are looking for a dynamic character ideally with experience of working in a democratic environment, but more importantly with experience of working with volunteers. You will have an understanding of how to support and develop campaigning activity, will be able to effectively manage resources, and be able to communicate well with a wide range of people. Knowledge of the higher education landscape would be advantageous and you should be confident at using Microsoft Office packages.
